To this end we will:

• Develop and maintain a positive safety, health and environmental culture.
• Identify hazards and adequately assess and control risk to which employees and others may be exposed.
• Continually improve our safety, health and environmental performance.
• Promote appropriate safety, health and environmental training to develop employees as a key resource.
• Periodically review the safety, health and environmental management system and audit compliance to policy.
• Publicise internal safety, health and environmental targets.
• Provide appropriate resources to implement the policy.
• Operate to UK industrial practices, in accordance with available recognised guidance and compliance with legal requirements.
• The standards for safe working procedures and guidance will be set down in the Company Safety Health and Environmental Manual.
• Continually monitor the introduction of new legislation and operational guidelines to ensure compliance.
• Hold an annual safety conference.
• Issue monthly safety bulletins
• Carry out tool box talks

We also have a safety “Hot Line” that provides an answer phone to enable employees and others to report safety concerns on 01924 433320. Our safety adviser or director responsible for safety deals with these calls.

We have also produced a safety video on the way we are implementing SG4:00 this is available from our head office on VHS or CD-rom.
